The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) promotes democracy, human rights, economic freedom, and curbing climate change. In Southeast and East Asia, we have offices in Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta, Manila, Seoul, Taipei, and Yangon. We also work in Malaysia. The FNF regional team works with the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats, the Working group for an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism, the Asia Centre, and the ASEAN Prosperity Initiative, which is part of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs. FNF Philippines and PPVR launched a report on mapping women legislation in the Caraga region
With the goal of advancing gender-sensitive policies and bolstering the participation of women in politics, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines in collaboration with People Power Volunteers for Reform (PPVR) Caraga unveiled the publication titled “Research Report on Mapping of Women Legislations, Programs and Activities in Selected Provinces, Cities and Municipalities in Aid Legislations and Program Implementation in the Caraga Region” on April 30, 2024, from 8:00 am to 12:00 nn at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center in Butuan City.

Heroism from the Eyes of the Young Generation
What really makes a hero?
To help the young generation build ongoing relevant conversations and meaningful reflections on how they can become modern-day heroes despite cultural, and psychosocial differences, the Philippine Education Theater Association in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Philippines invited more than 4000 students from 17 schools from Pasig and Tarlac City, and Infanta, Quezon to attend the three-leg Hero Vision 3 campaign. -
Four women entrepreneurs showcased in the FNF’s StartHer project
As part of the FNF's Female Forward campaign, Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines organized the StartHER Showcase: Celebrating Buzzworthy Babae-led Business to highlight the inspiring stories of innovative women entrepreneurs and their endeavors toward economic autonomy through their small-scale businesses. This event was held on April 27, 2024 in Makati, featuring four women-owned and operated small businesses.

FNF's Collaboration in LGU Caraga: Advancing Human Rights and Access to Justice
FNF Philippines continues its partnership with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) in Caraga to advance human rights promotion and safeguarding.
Their primary initiative, launched last year, focuses on integrating human rights, the rule of law, and access to justice by establishing and enhancing Human Rights Action Centers (HRACs) across the Caraga region. These HRACs within LGUs aim to empower marginalized groups by addressing their human rights and gender concerns and ensuring equitable access to justice. Strengthening LGUs enables the project to further its goals of promoting and protecting human rights, gender equality, and democracy.
